I am here for you if you face challenges related to anger, loss, trauma, ADHD, neurodiversity, anxiety, dissociation, compulsion, and depression. I also work with life transitions generally, including education, employment, and retirement. Therapeutic approaches I use include CBT, DBT, feeling/somatic-based therapy, Jungian psychology, and interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB). Before becoming a therapist, I wrote a dozen books on programing and math, worked in software development, and taught college math, programming, and literature. I enjoy bicycle rides and literature studies, activities that I draw from as a therapist.
I validate your life and emphasize a individuation and integration. Can you envision the future? Do you see the value in the things you have experienced? Can you see how your narrative of the past prepares you for life to come? We build a relationship that supports your life narrative and emphasizes healing, focus, and strengths.
Therapy involves finding words that enable you to narrate your story and name what you are facing. Over the longer term, the goal becomes developing strategies and seeking answers that enable you to face the dragons, assert control, and be confident of outcomes. Please feel free to contact me for a free consultation.
