John P. Carnesecchi, LCSW, CEAP is a seasoned clinician that treats people of all ages. A client is usually struggling but feels connected enough with me as their therapist to speak openly and freely about their experience. They can accept feedback with an understanding that we are both on the same team. When we touch on something out of their comfort zone, I hope they recognize they are safe and can stay engaged in the process. Together, we push past the barriers preventing them from feeling better, and they gain a better understanding of themselves to meet their potential.
I specialize in couples, family, depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, relationships, couples counseling, sex therapy, ketamine assisted psychotherapy, and career coaching. I earned my graduate degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University with a concentration in advanced clinical practice in mental health service delivery.
An initial consultation is just that; an opportunity for us both to see if we are a good fit. It would be a privilege to help you achieve a personal/professional goal or overcome an emotional hurdle. It's all about moving forward and thriving. We will take this journey as a team.
