Hello! I’m John Morehead. I specialize in working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families to address a variety of mental health concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, other problem behaviors, and difficult life transitions. I bring over a decade of experience in substance abuse treatment and general mental health practice, with a particular passion for working with individuals facing addictions and trauma. Therapy provides a powerful way to process past trauma and transform the core beliefs that shape how we see the world and ourselves.
I am a DBT-certified therapist and EMDR-trained clinician. I utilize evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients address issues with thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also have a background in ministry and can offer faith-based integration upon request.
I have extensive experience working with individuals facing co-occurring disorders, including severe mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, personality disorders, schizoaffective disorder, and other psychotic illnesses. My approach centers on creating a safe, trusting environment where clients can be open and honest without judgment.
