Hi! My name is John Mikail, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California, and I provide telehealth services to clients statewide. I believe in forming a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients to help support them in overcoming their difficulties. My ideal clients are young adults and working professionals who are seeking support due to changes in life circumstances, symptoms of depression, or anxious mood. I also work with first responders and medical professionals who are experiencing life difficulties or work-related stress.
I utilize a humanistic framework to help me understand my clients' needs. I practice interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy to help clients identify skills to address their emotions, concerns, and distressing symptoms.
Therapy is not one size fits all. The tone and intensity of sessions and treatment are set by the needs of each individual client. I provide a nonjudgmental and collaborative environment to address my clients' needs while supporting them in reaching their goals.
