I’m John McAnulty, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Internationally Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselor (ICADC), and a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist (CGRS) in Virginia. With 20 years of experience, I partner with adults and couples seeking help with depression, anxiety, life transitions, men’s and women’s issues, grief, loss, bereavement, relationship challenges, and issues specific to healthcare professionals.

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida State University and received my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Troy University. In therapy, I utilize relational, collaborative, strengths-based, cognitive behavioral (CBT), mindfulness-based, solutions-focused, and emotionally-focused approaches.

I always strive to maintain the creativity, flexibility, and awareness needed to assist each unique individual and couple.
