Hi, I'm John! I provide in person and virtual therapy for adults, adolescents, and families in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia. My goal is to provide a safe, trusting, and non-judgmental space for clients that allows them to become more aware of the causes of their problems as well as maladaptive behaviors or patterns that get in the way of creating meaningful and lasting change. With this awareness, we can work together to build a life that you want to live.
My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic with an attachment focus. I work with clients with a broad range of concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief, trauma, suicidal ideation, self-harm, life transitions, and relationship issues.
I value my clients as partners in our work together and aim to be a supportive collaborator in your unique journey. I'm happy to work with you whether you're new to therapy or you have previous therapy experience and are looking for a new direction in your journey.
