Welcome - I offer psychotherapy to individuals experiencing a range of issues impacting their well-being, relationships, and functioning, with a primary expertise in treating anxiety. I believe therapy involves a collaborative relationship, which can provide healing, insight, and desired change. Also, I endeavor to help my clients understand and work through 1) origins to their problems and distress, 2) patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating that are maintaining distress, 3) barriers to change that may be present, and 4) possible steps to take to bring change and relief using sound, evidence-based treatments.
Life circumstances, mistreatment we experience, and our own regrettable behaviors can shape patterns in life that leave us feeling stuck, hopeless, and frustrated. However, there is hope! Therapy can give you the tools needed to orient your life around your values, needs, and loves, rather than your fears, resentments, and past experiences.
When we face what is hard, we learn to be brave. “Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak knits up the o-er wrought heart and bids it break.” – William Shakespeare (Macbeth)
