I specialize in working with queer, gay, bisexual, & transgender adults & adolescents in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am most passionate about providing advocacy for cultural and economic diversity in our community and serving LGBTQ+ people experiencing depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Engaging in therapy is more important than ever especially in response to our current political climate and recent backlash of conservative values showing incredible disrespect toward the LGBTQ community and throwing extra stress at immigrant populations and communities of Color.
My clients are creative and strongly drawn to the Expressive Arts therapy we use collaboratively. Like the Zodiac, every human holds a lifelong relationship with a particular arts practice -- visual art, dance, music, writing, drama. I support you with re-engaging your practice to discover deeper expression to overcome obstacles.
My 11 years of experience practicing psychotherapy has been in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and English. I am dedicated as a White ally to continue developing the empathy and cultural humility necessary to support my clients as they have been mostly People of Color, recent immigrants, and political and LGBTQ+ asylees.
