John Checkett (pronounced as in, Check It Out!) employs a unique cluster of social science degrees, including Social Work, Communication Arts, and Pastoral Psychology, as well as being the first man in history to earn a master’s degree in Women’s Studies in Florida. He also knows tarot, numerology and several mystic arts! He can help you manage relationships, communication skills, and anxiety. Specializing in problems related to men's issues, women's issues, and relationship problems/communication problems, he can give you the mental tools to keep you healthy long after therapy. Time management and adult ADHD are other specialties.
Prof Checkett has a wide knowledge base, taking an eclectic approach to therapy. He customizes sessions to fit each person individually drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy, Gestalt and Jungian therapy. Also, Brief Therapy, based on the idea that most therapeutic progress occurs within 4 to 6 weeks.
