Welcome! I’m John. I received my training as a Master in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from UT Southwestern, graduating in 2015. During my training, I interned at Children's Medical Center and Parkland, working with a variety of individuals. I have extensive knowledge of medical conditions, psychopharmacology, and the various etiologies of mental disorders. I use a variety of evidence-based practices & theories including CBT, mindfulness and HRV biofeedback.
I specialize in working with individuals across the lifespan. I have extensive experience treating chronic pain, insomnia, stress, and I have education & training in evidence based practices, including biofeedback. My training also includes working with children in hospital and in educational settings. I often collaborate with educators and parents.
First and foremost, I value that each individual is unique. I strive to elicit positive (or sometimes more realistic) change in my clients, allowing them to live more fulfilling lives.
