John Breslin, LMFT 105601. My approach to therapy is working with the client in understanding what they are dealing with, what their challenges are, what obstacles they need to overcome, and supporting them throughout their journey. As a behaviorist CBT DBT, I have worked many years in the mental health field with children, teens, adults, and families. I specialize in anger management and co-parenting. I have also had the opportunity to work with Autistic children and their families in both in-home programs and school settings. I also was able to provide therapy at a couple of high schools as a part of the healthy start program.
The clients that I have typically worked with are individuals, couples, families, and groups that are challenged by the everyday struggles of life, who have mental health issues, and those with behavior problems.
My communication style is very upfront and honest. My goal is to understand the things that you have been through and are going through. I ask questions, listen with empathy, reflect, and rephrase so that I can understand your situation, your story, and how to support you best.
