I seek to create a warm, down-to-earth, and accepting experience for you to explore the hard-ass things in life. Many of us, myself included, were rarely taught how to connect with and understand our emotions, and so when we experience difficult feelings like sadness, disappointment, shame, fear, grief, and pain, we don’t know how to engage them in a helpful way. But that can change. We will work together to promote positive change and restore direction, meaning, and resilience during difficult times. The wounds you have carried with you all your life can be healed.
I work with people who struggle to manage anger, who are struggling to create and maintain emotional and relational intimacy, people who are finding it hard to manage loss, political stress, anxiety, and depression. I work with couples who are experiencing infidelity, high conflict, low emotional connection and intimacy, and couples who are feeling stuck.
My therapeutic approach is tailored to fit the unique needs of each of my clients and draws from several scientifically researched and clinically proven approaches. These include, Relational Psychodynamic Theory, Attachment Theory, and Trauma Theory. I also utilize CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).
