About
I conceptualize therapy as a mutually created, deeply personal experience. No two therapies will ever be exactly alike given that we are all unique individuals shaped by the stories, desires, and expectations of ourselves and others. I start from a place of deep humility and honor, knowing that coming to therapy means turning to a professionalized stranger for help with what may be extremely difficult sufferings. In the beginning there may not be words for what is wrong, where it hurts, why things are the way they are. This is where we start. Together. Courageously.
Therapy offers space for us to explore your internal and external worlds and to bring dignity to your self and your experiences such that we may expand your sense of internal freedom and reduce feelings of constriction, which may have taken the form of unwanted "symptoms", thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
I graduated Yale University (BA, American Studies) and earned my social work master's degree at University of Chicago. Among other experiences, I finished a two-year program in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis where I am currently in training to become a certified psychoanalyst.
