For over ten years, I have supported clients with a wide range of needs. I’ve worked with individuals diagnosed with conditions such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, intellectual disabilities, substance use disorders, and psychotic disorders. I help clients navigate challenges like life transitions, relationships, health issues, and grief. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN, and my Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Depending on each client’s unique challenges and preferences, I use techniques such as motivational interviewing, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. I provide insight, perspective, resources, and encouragement to best support clients in reaching their goals.
I believe that building a trusting relationship is essential in therapy. Throughout the therapeutic process, I work with clients to ensure their needs are being met and to collaboratively identify the next areas of focus. My aim is to build this foundation with clients in a manner that is open-minded, kind, and nonjudgmental.
