If you are reading this, take heart, as you've already demonstrated your courage. Many people, if not most, never seek the help they need, professionally or personally. As a therapist, my philosophy is that every person is unique in their own way, and this requires a unique solution to the challenges you face. People are incredibly complex, and many times this is why cookie cutter interventions often fall flat, because the client is not fully understood before interventions are prescribed.
You know yourself better than anyone, and my goal as a therapist is to tap this knowledge and, through the filter of my own broad experience and insight, work with you to develop goals and steps to these goals, in order to overcome the hurdles that life has thrown at you.
I also believe in the power of humor, and that therapy does not always have to be this serious and intense process 100 percent of the time. Therapy can be whatever you the client need it to be in order to heal and grow in the most optimal way.
