Hello- I'm Joelle Purdy, LICSW, a certified hospice and palliative care social worker. I work with adults of all ages, with a focus on family relationships, navigating serious illness, and end-of-life concerns. My approach is warm, supportive, and genuinely inquisitive. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable exploring what matters most to you. Together, we'll work toward your personal goals at a pace that feels right for you. I live in Washington D.C. with my family, but am originally from California. I enjoy playing sports, reading/listening to audiobooks and spending time outdoors.
I help adults navigate life's most complex and tender moments- whether that's strengthening family relationships, coping with serious illness, or facing end of life decisions. My role is to offer steady support, thoughtful guidance, and a space where you can make sense of what you're going through and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
