Hello, I'm Joelle Jones and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I'm a strong believer in developing awareness to help empower people to make changes in their lives when and where they want to.
I like to use cognitive behavioral techniques whenever it fits best. I also like to use dialectical behavioral techniques in combination with CBT. Therapy is about building coping skills but it's about so much more than that. I work with all populations but I feel most comfortable using a virtual platform with older adolescents and adult clients.
The first session is really a time to get to know someone. As a therapist, I want to get a feel for your reason for seeking treatment, your past experiences, and your current hang-ups. As a client, I assume you want to get a feel for how easy it is to talk with the clinician and make a decision on whether or not the clinician is a good fit or not.
