I work with clients experientially to feel deeply into their own emotions. I help clients learn to relate to themselves and people in their lives in a healthier, more wholesome way. I work by listening closely and pushing clients know what's going on internally. I tell them what I am feeling and ask clients to be in touch with their bodies and feelings not just their thinking. Ideal clients are open to this collaboration to explore emotions and seek new ways of being.
I am the director of a small clinic called Firelight Psychotherapy. I see clients and I also refer to another therapist who I supervise. Please visit my webpage to learn more.
I work in a small setting so that I can develop trusting, potentially long-term relationships with clients, unhindered by a large clinic. I primarily see adults. I am the past president of the Society for Psychoanalytic Studies. I have been training in a therapy model called AEDP as well as ISTDP. I am a level 3 AEDP therapist.
