Warm, kind, compassionate, empathetic and nonjudgmental. These are the qualities that I value and practice as a therapist and educator for over 30 years. Working with pre-teens, teens, young adults and their families to problem solve and fulfill their goals is my life’s work. I am a former middle and high school teacher and school counselor. As a therapist, I enjoy working with kids on a variety of issues in their lives, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and I am passionate about advocating for and supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in living their full and authentic lives, and supporting families in the process.
I work with individuals who are at various stages of coming out as LGBTQ+. I also work with kids who experience anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bullying, ADHD, learning disorders, and neurodiversity. I use CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and supportive therapy.
My goal is to provide a safe space for you or your child to feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings, and working through the hard and vulnerable stuff that gets in the way or holds you back. I look forward to partnering and working with you in this process.
