"You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." I believe this quote perfectly exemplifies my goal working with you as a client. When working with you, my number one priority is to create a safe environment and develop a strong, collaborative relationship. Therapy is a difficult process. However, we can create a safe environment which could ease this difficulty greatly. I utilize evidence-based interventions to help you learn to manage the challenges that life places in front of you and help you realize the strength inside of you to engage those challenges in a healthy manner.
My specialties include the following: trauma/abuse, healthy emotional expression, and anxiety related disorders. I mainly utilize an ACT approach but also integrate other interventions to address a wide-variety of issues. In addition, I pride myself on being a multiculturally trained psychologist.
It is a big step to reach out for help. I would be happy to talk further to see if together we can create a goal-oriented, evidence-based plan to collaboratively address your concerns and help you find the person you want to be.
