Hi there, I'm Jody! MS, MA, LMHC, NCC, CTTP ll, CSP-ADHD, CCATP-WA, LH61323638. I believe therapy is client driven and am an allied provider. I specialize in anxiety, ADHD, and trauma. I have experience working with adults and adolescents impacted by trauma. Assisting with ADHD symptom management, polyamory relationships, couple counseling, and abuse trauma. I prefer beginning with a friendly conversation to create a therapeutic alliance. Therapy, like life, has happy and sad elements. I am a solution-based therapist, and my goal is to help you create your own inner therapist by equipping you with the tools to manage your symptoms.
People are my passion, and I feel privileged to be allowed to participate in my clients' lives. In the past, I have worked with families, couples, and individuals in different settings including roles at Head Start, a child abuse intervention center, a women’s shelter, and counseling different populations
During the intake, I first explain the purpose of goal setting in that the goals must be obtainable time, measured, and pertinent to the client. Next, I asked the client what they would like to accomplish in therapy and then together we create the goals.
