I work with individuals ages 16 and up, with a primary focus on queer and trans communities, people in alternative lifestyles, polyamorous relationships, and those navigating complex personal or relational choices. My specialties include coming‑out experiences, questions of gender identity, transition, and authentic gender expression. I also frequently support clients who are questioning or leaving their religious backgrounds, and various other life-explorations.
Central to my counseling philosophy is the belief that liberation—not safety—is what the psyche truly needs. I emphasize that efforts to stay “psychologically safe” often activate fight‑or‑flight responses that restrict a person’s freedom. Because the soul cannot be harmed in the way the body can, we can explore our psyches without fear of damage.
I'm often asked how I'm able to listen to the problems of others day after day. My reply is that I don't necessarily listen to problems, I listen to stories. I invite you to come and tell me your story. In keeping with my philosophy about freedom vs safety, I offer not so much a safe space, but a FREE space to express yourself and liberate yourself.
