For the past 25 years I have worked as an LCSW and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist with individuals, families and groups in my private practice. Through psychotherapy and supportive work with adolescents, adults and families, I work to create a secure sense of self, increased self-esteem and a healthy relationship with self and others. I work with an eclectic person-centered approach and tailor my practice techniques to the unique needs of each individual. I offer teletherapy during times when this option is best.
With an additional specialty in athletes and sport, I became a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer in order to enhance the development of my Destructively Fit training, a training that addresses eating disorders within the fitness industry.
I also specialize in fertility issues and serve on the Clinical Advisory Board of Seleni Institute. In 2007 I created the curriculum on eating disorders for the NYU's Graduate School of Social Work and have been teaching this course, and guest lecturing in their Post-Master's Program, since then.
