Rediscover laughter and joy! Through my own journey of overcoming anxiety I have learned that avoiding negative emotions is impossible. In fact when we try to avoid them they become worse! They often turn into anger or anxiety. This causes personal stress and conflict in relationships. We are so afraid to feel pain that we numb out, lash out or become overwhelmed. My passion is to provide support and guidance for you to learn how to safely experience emotions, and learn coping skills. My collaborative, non judgmental approach to counseling enables you to feel empowered, gain clarity, and heal relationships.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education. I am trained in EMDR, a trauma symptom reduction tool. I provide reconciliation therapy for couples considering separation and conflict management skills for couples. I teach college level psychology courses and health and wellness classes.
I understand what it is like to feel hurt and alone and have been fortunate enough to learn to overcome those obstacles and rediscover joy. Reaching out for support is the first step.
