Welcome! My name is Jodi Brazlavsky, LCSW and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist. I have practiced in Aventura, FL for 14 years and have served the South Florida community for over 25 years. I graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Psychology in 1994 and obtained a Masters in Social Work from Florida International University in 1996. I am currently an adjunct professor at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCPT).
My career development has been quite diverse. My areas of expertise include: crisis intervention, psycho-therapeutic services, clinical supervision, healthcare, advocacy, community outreach, cultural diversity, education, program development, facilitation of support groups, medical social work, forensic social work, and expert witness testimony.
I work with children and families, of all ages, who may be experiencing a variety of clinical issues from anxiety, depression, family stressors, and couple's issues to chronic mental health concerns. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, supportive counseling and psychotherapy and I have a clear understanding of the struggles individuals face.
