I approach therapy from a trauma perspective because regardless if you’re experiencing depression, poor self esteem, relationship problems, divorce, abuse, anxiety/panic, addiction, self-harm, or simply procrastination — there’s likely something from your past that’s playing havoc with your life today. Whatever holds you captive will also reveal the key for your more positive future. That’s why it’s imperative we start there. Left to yourself, it might just get more muddy and feel overwhelming. But, I’ve witnessed clients transform a negative self concept and painful past into strength, resilience, and healthy living.
Using trauma-specific therapies, I help clients explore internal forces that keep adverse symptoms in their forefront. Everyone has strengths, so we build on these. Then, therapies like EMDR help us pinpoint the source of your outdated life responses so you can learn to trust a more adaptive part of you— one who knows what’s best and how to get there.
I am certified in EMDR; my approach is attachment focused, informed by mindfulness, somatic, Jungian, IFS, Sand-tray, DBT, Spiritual, and yoga therapies. Above all, I regard the client-therapist relationship as the most important element for your successful growth and change. That's why I offer a free appointment to see if I'm a good fit for your needs.
