Welcome! My name is Jocelyn Vasquez-Mota, I am a bilingual, English and Spanish-speaking, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in San Diego, California working with clients statewide via Telehealth. I currently work with children and families using Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, therapy, Integrative Reflective Therapy, and Attachment-based Therapy. Creating secure attachments in childhood strengthens the capacity for secure relationships in the future and our ability to regulate our emotions.
My approach to each client varies depending on their needs. The most common approaches in my work include Play Therapy, CBT, Systems, and Attachment-based Therapy. Through an attachment lens, I seek to promote security and growth in children and their families.
My goal in sessions is to ensure that you feel seen, valued, and safe. I aim to attune to you and connect through a warm, calm, and personable tone. I want you to feel secure in the therapeutic relationship, and I do this by "being with" and validating your emotions.
