I see the root of all challenges as relational-whether it is how we relate to ourselves, others, to our distractions of choice, or to the stories we tell ourselves.
Human beings thrive in relationships that foster freedom of expression, emotional safety, and healthy boundaries. To this end we will explore communication patterns, internalized narratives, beliefs, trauma, self talk, and how we take care of and communicate our feelings and needs. We will discover why something isn't working, and what needs to be done.
My approach is informed by mindfulness, child development, narrative theory, contextual family theory, trauma theory, and CBT. I am person-centered, strengths-based, and have a sense of humor. I treat all human beings, regardless of race, gender identity, sexuality, or spiritual beliefs.
