People seek therapy for various reasons. It takes a lot of courage to recognize that things aren't working and to seek help. Have you been struggling with specific problems involving work, family, or relationships? Or have you perhaps been suffering from something harder to define, such as persistent feelings of meaninglessness or sadness? Whether the problem is easy or hard to identify, I'm here to help.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been counseling people for over a decade. I strive to create a warm, supportive atmosphere in which problem-solving can take place. I specialize in helping those suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma, college-related issues, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I was affiliated with the C. G. Jung Center for many years and view therapy as meaning-making journey and a creative endeavor.
Besides working with individuals, I lead support groups for creative artists, and I teach acting at the Piven Theatre Workshop in Evanston. My next support group based on The Artist's Way begins on September 24, 2018. I am affiliated with Northwestern University's Employment Assistance Program (EAP) and accept most forms of insurance.

The Artist's Way
Rediscover your sense of wonder, possibility, and power. Using Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way as a guide, this course is designed to help individuals deeply engage their own creative process. Within the sacred circle of the group, we will discuss how to reconnect with qualities that nurture and encourage creativity such as safety, identity, abundance, and power. In addition this course provides participants with numerous tools and activates to engage their sense of play and possibility including doing free-form journaling, vision boards, and weekly artist dates.
