A space that is just your own, having a place to hear yourself talk through the thoughts in your head with someone on the other side who can help you challenge them and break the thought patterns that have kept you stuck. I help clients learn to normalize their challenges in a world and profession that often labels and pathologizes them quickly. I balance the ability to provide my clients with both a quiet space, allowing them time to think and discuss their thoughts together, with a collaborative and engaging environment that is involved, interactive, and action-oriented.
If you are looking for a therapist who will sit back and listen, I'm not the best fit for you. I can hold the space to listen, but my methodology is collaborative, providing both support mixed with a dose of "kick in the pants", action-oriented & goal-driven communication.
