My interest in psychology was first sparked by my early career in nursing. It was during this time that I came to witness how both physical wellness and suffering are related to emotional well-being. Based on a blend of psychological theories and techniques, my intention is to assist individuals achieve their optimal levels of personal, interpersonal and career function based on their unique situations, attributes and interests.
Now as a long-term psychologist, my experience has included a wide variety of issues including: depression, bipolar disorder, general anxiety, panic, phobias, posttraumatic stress, trauma, attention deficit, attachment and medical problems. My clients have been children, adolescents and adults, each with unique abilities, hopes and challenges.
My professional history includes both inpatient and outpatient settings and working closely with physicians, especially adult and child-adolescent psychiatrists. I additionally participate in educational opportunities designed to provide updated knowledge of physical and psychiatric treatments and medications.
