About

Your needs and comfort determine the structure of your treatment. For some it will be short term, for others it will be longer. If you can't solve problems with stress, anxiety, or depression, I will need to listen to your story and together we will create a plan. I use a straight-forward, common sense approach seasoned with empathy and humor. Together, you and I will form a team to work towards relief of discomfort in a safe and healing environment. I will actively work to provide you with the tools to manage or master what was previously problematic.
I first became interested in psychology when I was 16, when I noticed that many people could easily talk to me about highly personal subjects. After becoming a licensed psychologist, I was awarded a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Center for Cognitive Therapy at Penn.
My general orientation is cognitive behavioral, but I have studied a variety of modalities to suit your individual circumstances. These include dynamic, CBT, meditation, relaxation and stress reduction, coaching, and positive psychology. I can help you to integrate your talents, values, and strengths so that meaningfulness and happiness are maximized.
