How many times have you said to yourself, "I've got to stop doing this"? And then you do it again. I know because I've worked with hundreds of people, individually and in groups, who have said the same thing. But together we have found a way to get them unstuck and onto a path of increased self-esteem and happiness. Whether the issue is putting unhealthy food in your body or not effectively communicating, I'm here to help you identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck so that you can take charge of your life.
We resolve depression/anxiety, eating disorders, and couples’ issues. My background is in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive/behavioral therapy, and identifying unconscious blocks that may be sabotaging you from attaining your goals. We find solutions to ensure a healthy, balanced life and satisfying relationships at home and at work.
Every person is unique, and my strength is getting to know you individually and helping you develop a strategy that is tailored to your needs. Together we can get you on the path to a fulfilling and satisfying life.

Joanne Gerr's Groups
Eating Disorder Groups
I’m currently running virtual groups with New York and New Jersey clients. My groups have five members in which each person works weekly on concerns related to food, body image or other issues in their lives. These Groups are supportive and empowering. My Groups have successfully helped many people attain a permanent resolution of their struggles with food and their body, as well as helped them achieve successful relationships in their lives. I have taught other psychotherapists how to run successful eating disorder groups at many national conferences. Please call 212-750-8130 or 732-247-5112 for details.
