I will work with women and men, ages 16 and up, coping with a variety of difficulties of varying intensities. A mental health diagnosis, problematic behavior pattern or life stressors can all be reasons for seeking treatment. Presenting problems I am ready to help my clients conquer include, but are not limited to; Anxiety, Depression and other Mood Disorders, Substance Use Disorders, ADHD, Personality Disorders, marital or parenting issues, school refusal, family conflict, self-harm and disordered eating. Due to only providing telehealth, an assessment for appropriateness will need to be completed during the first phone call.
I have an extensive work history that includes individual and group therapy at multiple levels of care, including PHP/IOP and Residential Treatment facilities. While I consider my therapy style to be eclectic and draw on many different therapy models, I have most recently worked at a DBT adherent facility and am comfortable providing DBT-informed therapy.
I believe whole-heartedly in the healing power of supportive conversation, understanding dialogue, a judgment-free space and gentle calls to action. I want to collaborate with my clients to help them make the changes they are looking for. I like to provide guidance and understanding through comfortable humor, honest feedback and emphatic listening.
