Personally and professionally, I believe that human relationships have the most capacity for damage and most capacity for healing. I practice under the ethos that the best indicator of successful therapy is the relationship built between therapist and client. Our unique relationship serves as a container to this time of your life and the issues that are ready to be seen, felt and metabolized. Within that container, you will be able to experience yourself within a safe relationship and know the felt sense of being connected to yourself while being witnessed by another.
I use many techniques including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Guided Imagery and Narrative Therapy, which can pave reparative paths in your mind, body and spirit. My view of myself is more of a spotter and guide than an expert. You're the one living in that skin, but I can offer insights into ways of carrying your pain that can bring relief.
Connecting as humans first, we use the resources at our disposal including swearing, laughter, humor, analogies, metaphors, trust and compassion to face the darkness together.
