My name is JoAnn Tweeddale. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I am passionate about this work because for 25 years as a therapist & public school teacher, I have seen firsthand how therapy can transform people's lives. I have been honored to serve children, adolescents, adults & families. During therapy, you will have a confidential, safe & supportive space to share your story, explore your strengths, abilities and be accepted & nurtured for who you are. In our sessions, you will create goals & will have a chance to explore your progress, concerns & learn tools to manage stress & transitions to enhance confidence, peace & joy.
I utilize strengths-based, cognitive behavioral & solution focused therapy. I incorporate movement, art, music & hands-on activities while talking through stress & problem solving. I teach relaxation, communication, & conflict resolution tools. I also help my clients understand developmental tasks & ways to increase positive communication & self-esteem.
