With over 17 years of experience working in the mental health field, I have a strong dedication to meeting individuals where they are and helping them create goals to increase their emotional health and day to day functioning. Most of my years of experience have been dedicated to adolescents and young adults. I truly believe that growth as individuals is critical during this time and I want to assist them in developing into their best self, whether it’s combating a history of trauma, anxiety, depression or other emotionally difficult times. Particularly during this stressful time, we all need support and I am dedicated to helping.
Depression, anxiety and stress can sometimes be very difficult issues to deal with on your own. It's important to work with a therapist that is supportive and understanding to your unique situation because everyone has different symptoms, experiences and belief systems. I am here to work collaboratively with you.
In recent years I have begun to focus my training on best practice strategies to assist individuals with depression related to a medical illness (cancer, fibromyalgia etc) as well as grief associated with terminal illness. I have worked with diverse ethnicities and members of the LGBTQ community.
