Welcome and thank you for checking out my profile! I have been in private practice for over twenty years working with adults - young adults through the elderly. I feel privileged to do the work that I do and I try to honor this privilege by continuing to study and learn through readings, courses and consultations with other professionals. I am grateful for the continued opportunity for growth and I know that it has enriched my work tremendously. My journey has allowed me to more clearly define myself as a person and as a clinician. I have come to see the value in all of the major models of psychotherapy - CBT, dynamic, analytic.
I have found my home in a type of psychodynamic therapy known as Relational psychotherapy. As the name indicates, it focuses on the centrality of relationships in our lives and their impact upon us mentally and physically. Relationships are messy! Always! Even the best ones! Understanding ourselves in relation to others can help us know ourselves more.
