I believe you are here because you are ready to increase awareness of who you are and how you relate to others. Your current experiences may be causing you depression, anxiety or use of less than healthy ways of coping. I am interested in working with individuals who are seeking to recover from past, or work through current, traumatic or troublesome relationships or life events. My goal is to help you discover and strengthen your own internal resources to help you effect the change you wish for, and to help you solidify your own sense of self and to learn to assert your needs while protecting important relationships.
I have over 15 years experience, including at a college counseling center working with students and training pre-licensed professionals, and in private practice working with adults of all ages. My training and consultation has focused on working with complex trauma, eating disorders and relationship dynamics.
We will work together to establish your unique goals for therapy and work to develop the safety in our relationship to help you fully explore your patterns and learn more about the emotions that underly these patterns. As someone who continues this exploration in my own therapy, I know how important this relationship is. I look forward to meeting with you.
