Throughout my forty years of professional life I have worked with people who are coping with the complete range of mental health issues and diagnoses, as well as the problems of everyday life. With each individual I strive to create a supportive atmosphere in which we can work together, developing a trusting relationship that will allow us to address your concerns, your goals, your needs. I know how difficult it can be to talk about one's self, to express thoughts and feelings, but in such a non-judgmental therapeutic setting this becomes easier and leads to resolving issues great and small that even at times seem unsolvable.
My experience in a variety of settings (hospitals, community, military/veterans, college counseling, teaching, international living), and with the variety of people coping with the inevitable stresses and changes in their lives in these various settings, means that my specialty can realistically be said to be as a "General Practitioner of Mental Health".
Living abroad with my family meant that I too have had stressors to resolve But we all have changes and transitions throughout life that can stress us wherever we are and whatever our age.
