Couples are encouraged to choose the Couples Intensive, a 6 week marriage restoration and healing course. We work to understand "Daddy Issues" and other co-dependencies, as well as grief and loss, past pain, unforgiveness and the pain of rejection. Owning our story and giving ourselves compassion for the rest of our journey is the bravest thing that we will ever do.
As African-Americans, we are the last to seek counseling due to fear of unknown, being a "private person," and denial of the need for help. Making the choice for help with our problems is taking a brave stand. Deciding to try something different and new is a crucial aspect of emotional and physical health.
