My areas of interest/specialty include all aspects of mental health counseling for adults, adolescents, and families in the areas of depression, anxiety, addictions, co-occuring disorders, codependency and spirituality. I draw upon diverse resources to approach the counseling process from the perspective of your strengths and your place in life.
My clients find great benefit in my ability to generate an atmosphere in which the client and myself can create an approach that best fits their own individual needs and personality. I utilize techniques and resources as part of an active therapy experience without letting the techniques become the therapy.
I believe therapy is enhanced by a therapist's own passion for personal growth in their own life and their willingness to be authentic in the therapy process. My professional background includes pastoral ministry work with children, adolescents and adults, education as well as therapy. A particular passion of mine is Adventure-Based Counseling/Education.
