People come to counseling because they want something to be different in their lives. Experience has taught me that I must create a safe and supportive setting. And I must be skillful and respectful in order for positive and lasting change to occur. In over thirty years of practice I have seen amazing growth and transformation in the clients with whom I have worked.
I have particular interest and expertise in working with men in transition and men and women who have experienced trauma or are recovering from substance abuse. These transitions may include marriage, divorce, career change, and aging.
From 2009-2020 I served as Courtesy Faculty in the UF Department of Psychiatry providing supervision for third and fourth year Residents. Previously I have taught at the undergraduate and graduate level. I am not on any insurance panels, but many do reimburse a portion of my fee.
