About
My first goal as a therapist is to help you relate to yourself with more compassion, replacing harsh self judgement with eager curiosity. As this develops, we will work together to gain a better understanding of the underlying issues that lead to anxiety, depression, and other challenges to happiness. By helping you see yourself more clearly, you can live a more genuine, meaningful life, with stronger relationships.
With children and adolescents, I create a safe, caring environment where they feel listened to and understood. Through talk, play, and art therapy I help kids express themselves, and learn more effective ways of communicating. I work closely with parents, providing guidance, empathy, and encouragement for the huge challenges of parenting.
In clinics, a hospital, and private practice, I've worked for over ten years with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, ADHD, addictions, and psychosis. I also draw from interests in mindfulness practices and performing arts. I look forward to working with you or your loved one to create positive change.
