My holistic approach integrates physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual forms of well-being. The overall goal is to help individuals develop a deeper understanding of themselves on all these levels. For some, the goal of counseling may be to improve personal, familial, social, and/or community functioning. While for others, the aim is building, self-esteem, reducing anxiety or strengthening coping mechanisms. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to unpack emotional and mental distress while working on grounding techniques, challenging unhelpful automatic thoughts, and processing trauma.
I take a holistic and person-centered approach. Person-centered means creating an approach that engages and collaborates with the individual on their treatment, progress, and goals. This includes asking the individual what can be done to support and facilitate their preferences.
