My two passions in life are helping people and working with children. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have been fortunate enough to find a career that allows me to do both. My specialty is working with children, adolescents and their parents in managing a variety of life problems, and I have substantial education, training and clinical experience assisting individuals with issues such as: grief, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting support, low self-esteem, non-compliance issues, anger, and other mental health issues.
I am uniquely trained in grief therapy for children and adults. In the past several years, I have enjoyed working with local agencies that specialize in grief therapy. As a result, I have acquired extensive experience in guiding children and adults through the grief process following the death of a loved one.
My practice approach involves a combination of play therapy and art therapy techniques to assist children in verbalizing their feelings. I also have specialized training in parenting support with young children (attachment, compliance, emotional regulation).
