I am excited to offer the services of my private therapy practice for children, adolescents, and their families, as well as adults, Through the Woods Therapy CO/AZ, LLC in Arizona and Colorado. For the past 15 years I have worked with children and their families who have struggled with issues including but not limited to: suicide attempts and ideation, homicidal ideation, family conflict, behavioral issues, aggression, anxiety, emotional and physical abuse, ADHD, defiance, and emotion dysregulation. I also provide therapy services for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, anger management, as well as other difficulties.
I have worked in a variety of settings, such as for 4 years I worked in the foster care system licensing families, for 2 years I worked as a social worker in an elementary school in central Phoenix, and for 5 years I worked for Phoenix Children’s Hospital in its inpatient psychiatric unit, its Emergency Department, and in its outpatient therapy unit.
My treatment modalities include CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, play therapy, sandtray, and trauma focused therapy. Therapy is not a one-size fits all and I take pride in my ability to tailor treatment to each client. I also offer parenting classes to help parents manage difficult behaviors.
