You were born to be real, not to be perfect. Many of us struggle to express our authentic selves. This can cause stress, frustration, and emotional dysregulation. It is often a learned process to abandon parts of ourselves, in order to meet the needs or expectations of others. In my approach to counseling I aim to create an empathetic, non-judgmental space for my clients to learn and safely express their true selves.
In my work with clients I prioritize safety within the therapeutic relationship & meeting my clients where they are at. I operate through an Attachment lens and utilize Internal Family Systems to look at the forming experiences that trained you to be who you are today. In making sense of our past, we can step into the future with more confidence.
I work best with clients who are seeking to work through anxiety in relationships and wanting to build their confidence. I work with men and women & am an LGBTQ+ allied provider. I understand that counseling can feel like overwhelming process & I do offer initial phone consultations to answer any questions you may have prior to scheduling.
