With my experience working with Professional Athletes and Power 5 NCAA Division 1 Collegiate Athletes, I use a strengths-based model to help understand, enhance, and empower my clients to deepen their connection to themselves and envision their highest potential. Furthermore, my own experience as a Professional Athlete has centered my awareness of the struggles those in performance-based fields may encounter. My many years as both an Athlete and a Coach, as well as my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training, have dovetailed perfectly into my current trajectory within mental healthcare.
My integrated approach is tailored to your holistic needs, as I draw from modalities including mindfulness-based, performance psychology, and existential psychotherapy to meet you there. My academic coursework and training has guided my specialty towards anxiety, depression, disordered eating patterns, sexual trauma, LGBTQ+ and racial discriminations.
My experience with college athletes has developed a specific interest with emerging adult populations, and assisting in growth with intrapersonal concerns and interpersonal relationships, such as family, romantic, and friendships. I am a Mental Health Counseling Intern from the University of Miami and I look forward to the opportunity of working with you.
