My goal as your counselor is to help you gain insight into who you are & use that to facilitate growth. I can assist you in learning how to manage uncomfortable emotions & learn healthy coping skills. I have extensive knowledge in Dialectical Behavior Therapy &Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I am always interested in continuing my education and training.
I have worked in a variety of settings such as inpatient psychiatry, group therapy (PHP /IOP) & individual counseling. I have experience working with mood and personality disorders. I enjoy working with adults (18-99) with concerns relating to relationships, communication, boundaries, identity, depression, anxiety and mood instability.
I believe in a collaborative approach with my clients, emphasizing your autonomy in choosing your next steps in life and helping create a better understanding of who you are as a whole person. I use humor to ease the stress of counseling along with keeping the client accountable and challenge when appropriate. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
